Spring Semester Reminders

TO: Off-Campus Students
FROM:  Hank Toutain, Dean of Students

Welcome to Spring Semester!
Seniors, best wishes for a great final semester. The end is near, and we look forward to celebrating with you soon at Commencement.
If you are a Junior and are planning to live on campus during the 2009-2010 academic year, please contact the Office of Residential Life as soon as possible.
A couple of other suggestions in the interest of safety and avoiding hassles:
*Remember that snow season in Minnesota sometimes extends well into the spring semester. Watch out for Snow Emergency announcements (AM 1310 or FM 105.5 or call 934-0675), and move your vehicles so that you don’t get tagged or towed. Free municipal parking lots can be used during snow emergencies.
In socializing with friends, please take measures to keep each other safe: limit your guest list to close friends, use alcohol legally and responsibly, provide filling food and non-alcoholic drinks, etc. Remember too that Minnesota statutes may hold responsible and punish individuals who furnish alcohol to minors or intoxicated persons, or who are in control over premises (apartment, house) and fail to prevent underage intoxication.
